Salt Lake City Mission gives Christmas meals to homeless

Salt Lake City's homeless are getting a warm meal for the holidays thanks to the Salt Lake City Mission.

The mission gave away turkey or ham baskets with trimmings for a complete meal on Wednesday. The mission will be providing meals again on Christmas Day from 7:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. and again on New Year's Day.

Warm winter clothing and personal care items will also be distributed.

"We just want to share some of the love that we've been given. We are a really blessed county and we just wanna bless to some of these people here at Christmastime so that they can feel loved and wanted," said Brad Jaques with the Salt Lake City Mission.

The Salt Lake City Mission provides food and clothing, as well as biblical counseling and guidance.
