Mothers participate The Big Latch On for World Record
News

Thousands of women across the country gathered to attempt a world record.

The event, dubbed "The Big Latch On," is the nation's first synchronized nursing event. Mothers and babies from across the US participated; women who nursed between 10:30 and 10:31 a.m. Saturday were counted for the record.

"Sometimes moms feel alone; they don't have resources or support for breast feeding. This is a great way to see that there is a big community of women who are breast feeding, and husbands and fathers and partners who support it as well," said Timbra Wiist, a mother who participated in the event.
